The Workout Rookie: Days 1 & 2

Day one; October 1st, 2012, of my The Workout Rookie journey went well. I ate okay, meaning my breakfast and lunch choices weren’t the fitness gods most favorite meals, but I did not starve and I kept my body fed. My dinner was grilled chicken sandwich and spinach . I will start taking pictures of my meals because I really do no feel like explaining what I ate.

My mini at-home workout:

On day two I did the same workout, I also had a grilled chicken sandwich for breakfast. With the plank exercise on the second day I did an extra 5 seconds. I’m going to be adding additional 5 seconds to the plank exercise everyday. I got the idea from Hey Fran Hey. It’s part of her own challenge that she’s doing. I also had a sugary treat that consisted of chocolate cover ice cream bar. I don’t regret it and I will learn to have better control and not constantly think about the ice cream. As a rookie to the fitness world I do not have all the proper equipment to help me along my fitness journey. However, alternatives are always the next best things. For my one pound weights I used two cans of greens.

I figured I should start some where and these were the heaviest cans we had. I used an app to help me with the choices of exercises I did. It is called “Butt Workout”. For a workout rookie I think I am starting off well. I am looking forward to challenging myself everyday and blogging about.
